Gwyneth Allsopp

Gwyneth is the Managing Director and is responsible for the day to day running of the firm. Gwyneth has particular responsibility for the very important relationships the firm has with clients and referrers. She is also responsible for maintaining the quality of the legal service which the firm provides and for maintaining a happy and empowered team.

Over the years I have worked mainly in dispute related work – litigation. I have experience in handling to trial, Tribunal or settlement personal injury claims, commercial disputes, partnership and director disputes, family disputes, debts, building and construction disputes and employment. Really anything over which people or businesses are in dispute.

The largest financial commercial matter I have ever handled involved £250,000 and currently I am handling a commercial rent claim valued at £168,000.

Over a three year period 2004 – 2007 I was handling with my team some 600 assorted litigation files. Those either settled by consent or went to trial. I lost 2 of those that went to trial.

I have experience of the procedure of the County Court, High Court and the Employment Tribunal. In my current workload I am defending a claim in the Tribunal for an employer and am bringing a group action for 5 people in the Tribunal against the liquidator of their old firm and the Secretary of State. I am also considering a substantial group action against a time share Company.

In addition I draft contracts, leases, terms and conditions, employment contracts, business agreements.

I give general business advice and am the non executive Director of two businesses – one of which is a Plc.

I have been a partner or associate in Solicitors practices for about 15 years, I ran my own Solicitors Practice for 8 years and grew to employ 17 people. Currently, I own and run the Law Practice (UK) Ltd

The Law Practice began in September 2007. In addition to the work I do the Law Practice does residential and commercial conveyancing. We handle the legal work in buying and selling, remortaging or transferring the Title to residential and commercial property.

We handle Leases for commercial property. We also prepare Wills and handle Probates. We are also West Midlands Business Link Approved Suppliers.

As a firm we pride ourselves in acting for our client’s quickly, proactively and in a friendly way. We give quotes for all our work at the outset. There are no nasty financial surprises.
